INPRO Innovationsgesellschaft mbH Berlin

Technological foresight and futurology

In order to take strategic decisions about technologies and new development projects in a complex and highly dynamic technological, economic and social environment, both the generation of contextual knowledge as well as new ideas is becoming increasingly important.

INPRO uses systematic early technology recognition and futurology in the production environment with future-related issues using its Technology Watch programme, and derives approaches or ideas for its own project work as well as for shareholders. Using MegaTrend systems, future topics in technology (technology push) as well as their application (market pull) are identified and assessed, while special emphasis is placed on observing vehicle production, in particular.

INPRO TechnologyWatch is specialised in the fields of:
  • continuous early technology recognition or technology monitoring
  • methods for technology assessment and trend analysis
  • development of scenarios, also in conjuction with Delphi methods
  • creativity techniques for innovation workshops

A current priority development at Technology Watch is the topic of the
  • Factory of the Future

in order to determine future challenges for production technology and production systems.

The information, results and findings gathered in the TechnologyWatch process are incorporated cross-functionally into established INPRO innovation processes and into preparatory work for INPRO projects, in particular.
