At the annual general meeting of AutomationML e. V. on May 14th, 2019 in Fulda, the status of the standardization of AutomationML as a manufacturer-neutral, open data exchange in digital engineering was discussed and the committee members of the association were newly elected. inpro is, as in the last two years, represented by Daniel Wolff as a member of the board. For the first time inpro-Spinoff COMAN Software GmbH was a new member.

The association, which now has 56 member companies, aims to promote the development and dissemination of standardized data exchange in the engineering ring process of industrial automation systems, in particular through the specification of generally compatible data interfaces. inpro contributes to the successful work of the association with the development of an industry 4.0-compatible component model (lead: Dr. Lorenz Hundt, inpro) and the material flow group (lead: Dr. Ender Yemenicioglu, also inpro).

The meeting continued to focus on the review of a successful year 2018, e.g. with the 5th AutomationML Congress in Gothenburg or the publication of the compact AutomationML brochure as well as the outlook on upcoming events in 2019, e.g. the 5th AutomationML Plug Fest in Hamburg or trade fair participations in Hanover and at the SPS IPC Drives 2019. The further dissemination of the format and productivity through tools and plug-ins is achieved through cooperation.
