The digital factory twin consists of various components that are generated and managed in different phases of the factory life cycle through a range of models, data formats, and software systems. The link to the data collected live on the shop floor is often still missing. inpro develops methods and software tools for the feedback of operational data via cloud technologies, evaluating AI procedures and semantic linking technologies in order to connect the world of PLM and the digital factory to the physical world of factory operation. The integration of engineering models and the various data sources plays a key role in linking the components of the digital twin throughout the life cycle phases of engineering, start-up, and operation. In order to cover new requirements, existing engineering and simulation systems are being enhanced and further developed all the time.
